Spring into Action CIC Request

Organisation Description

Spring into Action CIC is based in Accrington in East Lancashire. Founded in 2012, we have a vision of an inclusive society where people with learning disabilities can fully participate.

Our aims are to provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities to engage in activities, volunteer within services and find employment. We aim to raise awareness of the ability of people within the wider community, and raise aspirations of people with disabilities to achieve more.

Our services and activities over the past 10 years have been developed and delivered with people with lived experience and include: Sports and arts projects, volunteer training including Sports Leaders awards; delivery of inclusion workshops.

We also run a friendship and dating agency, bringing people with learning disabilities and autistic adults together for meaningful friendships and relationships. Through this work we also run social events and deliver sex and relationship workshops.

What are they looking for?

We are seeking 2 volunteers: 1. A volunteer to help with re-branding to ensure consistency by creating templates for our social media/flyers/videos. It would also be helpful to receive support with our website and developing brand guidelines so all staff can create their own assets. We use Canva and we have a Pro account. 2. A volunteer to help with reviewing our HR policies and employee handbook. We are looking for people who can work remotely or on-site (if preferred), who can work independently and advise appropriately. We are a fun organisation and we have people with learning disabilities on our staff team, so any experience of this would be great too!
